The difference is: the number of times that Trump was illegally redacted in the files... WE KNOW SO FAR.

@gtconway3d Some congressmen have been able to determine Trump was mentioned in the unredacted Epstein files over a million times. How many times was he mentioned in the redacted (released) files? Simple arithmetic would reveal HOW MANY TIMES TRUMP WAS ILLEGALLY REDACTED from the Epstein files.

Adolf Putin meets Neville Trump

Summer of 1938: Adolf Hitler threatened to annex parts of Czechoslovakia by force, claiming they were "ethnically German".

February 2022: Vladimir Putin launched an unprovoked, illegal invasion of Ukraine in a blatant effort to annex Ukraine, claiming it is "ethnically Russian".

Munich 1938: The UK Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain sought to avoid another war in Europe through a policy of appeasement. He instigated a meeting with Hitler in Munich, with leaders from France, Italy, and the UK.

Inexplicably, Czechoslovakia was not invited to the closed-door meeting. Under those circumstances, the cowardly path of least resistance was to capitulate to Hitler, giving him territory they did not own, and believe Hitler when he agreed to halt his plans for territorial expansion. So that's what they did.

In London, a triumphant Chamberlain famously declared "peace for our time", amidst widespread public relief and celebration.

Less than a year later, Germany invaded Poland, starting World War II.

January 2025: The US President Donald Trump wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize by ending the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.

He doesn't know much about achieving lasting, just peace. It seems likely that he doesn't know what a "just peace" looks like, under the rule of law (UN Charter, Geneva Convention, etc.).

However, he does seem to know that the fastest way of ending a war is to lose it, as he demonstrated in 2020 by his capitulation to the Taliban, bypassing both his allies and Afghanistan itself in a shameful proxy surrender.

Alaska 2025: Trump's capitulation to Putin follows the same pattern. The Alaska summit was closed-door, excluding both Ukraine and all the allies.

Like in Munich 1938, the cowardly path of least resistance most likely led towards giving away Ukrainian assets because they're not represented, and magical thinking that war criminals and convicted felons will do the "right thing" when circumstances demand it.

Once again, Poland is looking around nervously.

And we may be headed towards a generation of endless war... a natural result of emboldening aggressors.

As long as "America First" remains an embrace of corruption, lawlessness, malevolence, disinformation, intimidation, fascism, extortion, chaos, and incompetence ... Trump's trademarks ... America will suffer, and with it, the entire world.

But... America First.

America is great. Europe is great, too.

I'd be especially attracted to an M*GA invitation which is not based on an assumption that America sucks, or Europe sucks, but constructively recognises areas where there's broad support for improvements, and seeks to constructively make such changes happen.

There is a difference between patriotism and ultranationalism.

There is a difference between conservatism (traditional Republican values) and far-right extremism.

There is a difference between a government based on truth, and one based on lies sustained by power.

There is a difference between a government which believes in free speech, and a government which thinks free speech means the freedom to lie and defame real patriots, attack free press, oppress those who don't agree to lie... where corruption and chaos are seen as tools for imposing a overtly anti-American agenda.

I am searching for a word that embodies this ultranationalism, far-right extremism, respecting power over the rule of law, and attacks on free speech.

Oh, yeah. Now I remember. The word is Fascism.

It would be terrific if you could interview Putin and Zelenskyy... because I trust and respect you as an effective interviewer with integrity. You cater to a curious and interested listener, seeking to inform and thereby increase your audience through merit.

I'm troubled by an interviewer like Tucker, whose goal is, instead, to aggressively increase his audience by whatever means. He's historically been willing to mislead, misinform, and even take positions he personally finds abhorrent if it increases his popularity.

This is how social media, which should improve the level and quality of dialogue, actually degrades it. Misinformation is the path of least resistance.

In due course, platforms like X will find ways to make this destructive path to popularity less effective, perhaps with various kinds of context augmentation (through trusted contributors).

The community of context augmenters might include 3rd party AI context providers. Incentivizing such intelligent context providers (real-time fact-checking, if you will) could course-correct the path of least resistance back towards informative, thought-provoking, truthful content.

The best way of getting human alignment is to maximize the number of humans who provide training (sort of what we now do anyway, by training on as much data as possible).

Perhaps an AI which has read thousands of books could be expected to do a better job of recognizing "wrong-thinking" and "correct-thinking", especially when the latter might be narrowly perceived in terms specific to a limited November 22, 2023 POV or a narrow set of self-appointed judges of right-thinking.

Just a thought. Maybe even a correct thought.
