Check out our calcium electride work now out in @J_A_C_S! A tour de force led by @alex_bowles_33 and @jquirk_cmt, covering mechanochemical synthesis, magnetism and computational studies (and more!) https://t.co/jwwhoQ28QX
This week's #ChemSciPicks is "Dinitrogen Reduction Chemistry with Scandium Provides a Complex with Two Side-on (N=N)2− Ligands Bound to One Metal", by Filipp Furche, Zhenfeng Xi, and William Evans et al. from @UCIrvine and Peking University.

@Orgmet_ACS has an article type called "Flash Communications" focused on rapid, timely results--in line with the original intent of "communications!" Here, we report a neat "interrupted" cascade alkyne hydroamination, kicking off a new direction for Ti=NR! https://t.co/6EeVw3D1Lu
Excited to share our latest in @DaltonTrans as part of the "New Talent: The Americas" themed collection!

A fun study exploring the continuum of bonding within Al-H-Ni subunits in heterometallic complexes with varying coligands and charge!
Our group's first publication is out now in @DaltonTrans! Big thanks to our talented graduate and undergrads @universityofri and our incredible collaborators in the Robinson group @JRRatBrown!

Retweets greatly appreciated! @ChemPostdocBot
Many congrats to all authors on this joint paper between researchers at Manchester and UC Irvine, led by Lydia. Special thanks to Floriana @UK_EPR_NRF and Bill. Well done @danhuh_@nfchilton@FabOrtu and many non-tweeps!
To quote Harry Gray: the best part of being wrong is that you get to publish another paper! Here, the talented @YukunCheng1 took a deeper dive on oxidation-induced N-N coupling w/ Ti, revealing that double oxidation is the route to N-N bond formation! https://t.co/I7SIFax4AJ
Exciting new #Transuranium#NHC research live in @J_A_C_S!
We found actinide NHC bonds to be significantly ahorter than with similarly size lanthanides, including americium which is usually where the actinides behave "lanthanide-like".
Read on for why.

ssNMR is an awesome tool to understand electronic structure and reactivity of molecular catalysts. During my sabbatical, I was lucky to team w/@CoperetGroup to show that you can use ss 15N NMR as a predictive tool for M=NR reactivity! Now out in @J_A_C_S: https://t.co/GfRdIwbgPb
CO2/Butadiene-derived polymers are developing at a rapid pace! If you are interested in sustainable polymers, check out our new Chem Rev on the topic! Special thanks to Kyoko Nozaki for inviting a lot of the players in this field to contribute. https://t.co/kVmQcaL1Qn
Super excited to share the group’s first foray into low oxidation state rare earth chemistry! Featuring rare Sc / Y / La2+!
Please see the @ChemRxiv: https://t.co/M8YueRahOL
Big thanks to @nfchilton and @UK_EPR_NRF team for getting key insights on these complicated systems.
First official Pratt Research Group paper accepted! More to come later, but this was such a labor of love and my first independent PI manuscript. Great job team!
Now available as an ASAP article in @J_A_C_S, work led by Dr Jack Emerson-King in collaboration with the groups of @CleracR and @nfchilton on the long-targeted synthesis of a bent dysprosium bis-amide single molecule magnet https://t.co/zsNTaFG8qg @GemGransbury@UoMChemistry
