@brownandpinkdot@taylorsschumann I second PBS Kids! Use it all the time with my students. It’s nice not to worry about ads or them accidentally spending money.
I teach STEM and every day I have to fight the urge to say “video tape” instead of “record” and that’s how I know I can’t even attempt cool-status anymore
Today in the Starbucks drive-thru in Uvalde, the barista asked if I was taking time to take care of myself. I told her I would keep trying and returned the question.
She said she actually works in San Antonio, but is working here so that Uvalde baristas have time off to grieve.
@NicholasFerroni Teaching elementary STEM is saying "the supplies are on the bookshelf and have been since September" every single day until you die- uh, until the last day of school.
@jamiebgolden It’s Jurassic Park for me… I honestly wouldn’t even be shocked at all just like, “all right. This makes sense. Show me how to fight velociraptors.”
@EdwardorEddie MI, Health Department. The intake volunteers were amazing and I was in and out quick- also given the shot by a friend who works there. Bonus! #smalltownthings
@smnthmdsn @jamiebgolden ^exactly all of this. Additionally, in episode 2 Elizabeth Olson looks so much like Mary Kate (and Ashley, of course) that I did a double-take.
@jessecarey Similar to Serial in that sometimes I'm convinced every story is fake and then the next moment SO. SURE. everything is totally real. I was startled every time someone said "hey" in a fully lit building while listening today, but that's neither here nor there... I'm hooked!
