WASHINGTON โ Eritrea's Delegation led by Foreign Minister Osman Saleh met, yesterday in Washington, with US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, ๐๐ . ๐ด๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐, and, the Assistant Secretary for Africa, ๐๐. ๐น๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐, respectively.
In the meeting with the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Minister Osman welcomed the removal of unilateral sanctions which must be seen as a positive and vital step for turning a new page in Eritrea-US relations.
Eritrea's objective is to create the basis for constructive, mutually beneficial, and genuine partnership in the period ahead. The new chapter should enable us to recoup missed opportunities; pivot towards enhancement of trade and investment; as well as explore and leverage new prospects for genuine partnership that eschews structural dependency, FM Osman stressed.
Minister Osman also referred to the need for further review of unwarranted policies of pressure pursued by previous Administrations. He elaborated on Eritrea's modest and constructive role in the promotion of peace, stability and security in its immediate and wider neighborhood which encompasses the Horn of Africa; the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden; the Nile Basin, and the Wider Gulf Region.
The Minister expressed Eritrea's earnest hope to cultivate collaborative efforts with the US in these ideals as well as in the mechanism of cooperation charted out by the littoral States.
The Under Secretary for Political Affairs, for her part, underlined that the lifting of sanctions stemmed from President Trump's commitment to nurture bilateral partnerships based on mutual benefits. This will contribute to the crystallization of warm ties of cooperation between the two countries.
Ms. Hooker further remarked on the broad convergence of broad themes of cooperation envisaged by the two sides in these initial and preliminary meetings.
The meeting with the Assistant Secretary State, Mr. Frank Garcia, was likewise focused on broadly similar themes. The two sides agreed that future talks will focus on more profound and concrete consultations for the promotion of trade and investment; regional peace and stability, as well as resolution of pending matters through constructive dialogue.

The irony is hard to miss.
A man with a PhD in peace and conflict studies wins the Nobel Peace Prize. His government then presides over civil war, is accused of hosting RSF training camps amid atrocities in Sudan, escalates the Nile fight with Egypt, and pushes for Red Sea access as tensions with Eritrea hit dangerous levels.
The peacemaker is now the center of one regional crisis after another.
What changed?

Air Force Commander Abiy Ahmed Eli used to whisper that no bird flies in the sky without our permission, but he was slamming his people with the drones.
๐ด Abducted. Tortured. Held for ransom. This young #Amhara remains in the hands of #Oromo security forces, who threaten to execute him if their demands arenโt met just as they have done to countless innocent Amharas before. The brutality is undeniable. Under @AbiyAhmedAli's Oromuma regime, Amharas face terror daily.

#Eritrea has made Abiy lose his shit without saying or doing anything. He has been barking, boasting and threatening to invade Eritreaโs sovereign territory for three years continually, while Eritrea simply watched, observed, remained confident and kept quietโwaiting for Abiy to internally combust as he diplomatically shot himself in the foot.
It is quite an art of politics and war to watch an enemy disintegrate without a single shot being fired from Eritrea. Something Sun-Tzu would be proud of #EritreaPrevails

Ethiopiaโs Deplorable Acts of Hostility

*"...In reality, it is Ethiopia which has been pursuing an agenda of incessant hostility โ in effect, a publicly pronounced declaration of war โ against Eritrea for three years in pursuit of 'the imperative of acquiring sovereign access to the sea' through the invasion of sovereign Eritrean ports and coastal areas".
*"...Throughout these trying times, Eritrea has displayed patience and restraint in the hope of averting a dangerous escalation".
*"...In the current circumstances, however, Eritrea has no option but to reciprocate in kind and severe all diplomatic ties with Ethiopia with all the negative corollaries that this entails".
Okay so Indian pilot is stabbed and the Omani co-pilot has placed the plane in a nose dive and a passenger gets up from his seat walks to the cockpit while the plane is in a nose dive defying the laws of physics and ignoring centripetal forces, subdued the co-pilot and stabilise the plane that has no rudder over Jordanian airspace near Israeli border and takes it back to Saudia and lands there instead of Israel.
Nice script.
How did we lose the rudder case everything happened in the cockpit?
Yep fatigue from the dive, the same dive in which a passenger manages to reach cockpit and subdue the co-pilot.
I want pro Israeli intellectual to answer this.
And the passenger who managed to reach the cockpit learned how to stabilise a rudderless plane from Television.
Are we the idiots?
