UPDF fisheries unit on killing spree in Jinja

Yesterday the army fisheries unit shot and killed another fisherman at Masese landing site in Jinja.

Over 30 fishermen have so far been killed by the army on Uganda's lakes this year.

“I told you when a parent becomes old, he can buy any ideas from his loyal grandchildren. Even his kids can wonder what has happened to the once tuff Muzeei who used to cane them for simple mistakes. What you hear Museveni speak lately is not reality. No coffee processing company makes $25-40 in a kilo of coffee beans. That was the first lie they sold to him, then they convinced him to transform their own company in Ntungamo by injecting sh75b government funds into it. After that they told him we need to teach Ugandans how to drink coffee because Ugandans have to be our first customers when we begin coffee production. He gave them sh 9.6billion to teach us(Ugandans) how to drink coffee. They later tasked him to promote coffee worldwide, here he gave them sh37billions. When you look at the money involved, you can clearly see that their intention is not to benefit from the coffee market but from Museveni himself.

Why do i say that? For any serious businessman, you construct a factory where raw materials are located. Buganda is the leading producer of coffee, why was the factory built in Ntungamo which is not second or even third in coffee production? Value addition means processing raw material where they are found. This is why Hima cement is in Kasese. Nytil was in Jinja where cotton was the main cash crop. Kakira is in Njeru etc. You dont add value by transporting raw material from Mbale to Ntungamo. Two; the coffee promotion method clearly shows you it is a money making theory. Let us go with the least, which funds were used to teach Ugandans how to smoke shisha? OK, how to drink bushera? All they told women is Bushera brings water, boom the market skyrocketed.
These grandchildren of Museveni are not different from your own jajja’s grand kids, bonna baakyejo, they get money through deceitful means. Unlike your own jajja where you send him upkeep and he instead donates it to his grandkids, here, It is Ugandans funding the luxury lifestyle of these bunch of lazy grandkids in statehouse. Now i hear they asked for more billions to promote coffee again. They cant compete with traders in open market, they will later ask him to make a decree that no company should be licenced to export unprocessed coffee from Uganda. Awo nga kaweddemu… kyebagala.”
