The figure of 250,000 victims of grooming gangs is based on a linear extrapolation from how many victims there were in Rotherham to the entire nation. That isn’t valid because it wasn’t happening at the scale in most towns - and people who want this issue to go away are going to jump on that and use it as a pretext to ignore all the testimonies. It was an unforced error.
I have so much respect for Rupert (and others like @aswren) who have put themselves through such immense emotional strain to help these poor, abused, victims.
I don’t agree with everything Rupert says, but I think I respect and admire him more than any sitting MP.
On the 12th June you paid £15,299,389 because of Ed Miliband's failed energy policies.
We have some of the highest energy bills in the WORLD.
And we are sending MILLIONS to big renewable to turn off wind farms.
