as someone who's never been to murchison falls, i don't know how much a game drive costs, what accommodation options are available, how to get there, what a realistic itinerary looks like, what to pack, or what to avoid

with this video, i've now seen nyash and truly, i'm convinced to go to murchison

but that's the problem, no one's packin' up their bags to go to murchison based on such thoughtless and incompetent content

the people behind this campaign seem to have confused people who travel with travel creators

there's a difference between someone who documents their trips and someone whose content actually helps you plan yours

travel creators leave you informed

they give you guides, itineraries, budgets, hidden gems, dos and don'ts, and practical tips that make you think, "i can actually do this trip"

instead, we're seein' videos of nyash, folks drivin' recklessly on the road, etc

great for their personal brands, perhaps, but not necessarily for convincin' the average ugandan to visit a national park

if the objective is to increase domestic tourism, popularity shouldn't be the main selection criteria

expertise in creatin' travel content should

because at the end of the day, tourism marketin' shouldn't leave us wantin' to visit the "influencer" instead of the destination
