BP confirms the reorganisation of its business back into the traditional Big Oil model of upstream and downstream.
Gordon Birrell will run upstream and Richard Harding downstream (on an interim basis). The leadership of renewables is downgraded massively and folded into BP’s technology function.

The mantra of FIFA is famously that “football unites the world.” But the World Cup is set to begin with both sports—and geopolitical tensions—on full display.
This is the first World Cup to be hosted by three nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. U.S. relations with its two neighbors have strained over trade, immigration, and border policies since the three countries initially planned to cohost back in 2017.
Iran, which had initially threatened to “boycott” the U.S. games due to security concerns, reached an agreement to move its team’s base camp from Arizona to Tijuana, Mexico, in an effort to reduce the amount of time the Iranian team spent on U.S. soil.
While FIFA confirmed Iran's team would cross the border to play their U.S. matches, the players were still reportedly awaiting their visas in the days ahead of the June 11 kickoff.
“I don’t think this is going to be as smooth as previous World Cups,” expert Ebenezer Obadare said.
Here's a rundown of the potential complications ahead for players and fans across the globe:

Traffic & poor infrastructure, not cartel violence, will be the big threat to visitors coming for Mexico's World Cup
Expect passion, fun and hospitality, not Nordic transportation

Traffic and poor infrastructure, not cartel violence, will be the big threat to visitors coming for Mexico’s World Cup. Expect passion, fun and hospitality, not a Nordic transportation system, says @JPSpinetto (via @opinion) https://t.co/kfHzDoiENM
Delayed by wars, politics and funding shortfalls, Sagrada Família's imposing but unfinished presence has dominated Barcelona's skyline for decades.
Now, the long-awaited final tower is, at last, ready for its inauguration, marking 100 years since the death of the church's visionary architect, Antoni Gaudí. https://t.co/vb8rzuID29
McDonald’s may have created more millionaires than any other company in history. On “Money Talks” this week, why franchising may be America’s most underrated path to wealth https://t.co/mF72prZUiN
On June 4, the world marks 37 years since the Chinese Communist Party ordered its troops to attack thousands of peaceful demonstrators in and around Tiananmen Square. Those who sacrificed to uphold their unalienable rights of free expression and peaceful assembly will be vindicated someday.
Canadian Architect Cornelia Oberlanders designed the world's first "Stramp". Stairs with a ramp incorporated for those with accessibility needs.
The Stramp allows for companions to use the ramp or steps and not break connection with one another.

La pregunta no es si México crecerá uno o dos puntos porcentuales más este año. La interrogante es si el país está construyendo las condiciones institucionales, fiscales y productivas para eventualmente recuperar una trayectoria de crecimiento sostenido.
