Far from being patriotic, it feels like warmed over MAGA nonsense that wont pull in anyone who isn't already there?

In 1950s Australia the avg wage was $946 and the median house price was $6,000. Houses were 6.3x income.

Today the avg wage is $80.6k and the median house is $1.65m. That's 20.4x income.

To restore 1950s affordability, wages would need to be ~$260k or houses ~$500k.

If you play it back he is saying "that is my priority" to his previous point about the 4.4bn program on women's safety.

@SimonKennedyMP The budget cuts the 16% tax rate to 15% next year, then 14% the year after. That is a tax cut, not a tax increase.

You can argue about debt or housing policy. But claiming young workers are being hit with higher income tax is not what the budget actually does.

@Lisa9Sophia Keating was PM and has the PCSS pension. Hanson will be able to access it as well when she retires. You can't compare a current MP to a retired full PCSS PM.

@Bradfield1975 Because he was elected before 2004 when the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Scheme was in place. It was removed for any new members after that date.
