I'm building Firmary for the work between “we still need this” and “it's ready for review.”
The aim is to give a small team more capacity without someone coordinating every handoff.

Introducing Firmary.
Ask who still owes documents. Prepare each client’s request. Track what arrives and see what needs to happen next.
Your team reviews what goes out.
A preview of what we're building for accounting firms.

@CornerstoneCPA_ Great reminder! The trade offs become more acceptable and less important when you have more disposable income and dollars to spare.
There are certain foods I refuse to order in restaurants because I know it will be a disappointment compared to home made.
@Bsoutherland23 Do you see this impacting the market at all? I feel like a lot of deals above that price range already complete at least a QOE-light before this was a requirement.
Dots are slower and lazier than regular codex sessions. I avoid using the dot because it takes forever and won't complete simple requests or forgets about them. It tells me things are done when in reality they are not. It isn't reliable enough to use in my workflows.
Another big thing is allow the dot to interact with my remote and local sessions. It currently is unable to send messages or start codex sessions on my remote connection.
@JWellsTax I think a lot gets bundled into the term “school choice.” Vouchers, charters, open enrollment, tax credits, etc. can have pretty different tradeoffs, so I’m not sure the label alone tells us much.
For plenty of clients, their phone is their scanner. We're building Firmary around that, so the paperwork gets from their kitchen table to the firm without the mess.
Point. Scan. Done.
Your client points their phone at the stack. Firmary captures each page, straightens it and sends one clean PDF to their request.
Then it reads the forms, so you review instead of retyping.

The next client follow-up is ready when you open your queue.
That's what we're building in Firmary: prepared actions you review and approve, client by client.

Are you sure the Dot is powered by GPT-6 Astra?
I find it won't do things unless I repeatedly follow-up. It also tells me it can't do simple things like control a browser, until I remind it multiple times that it does have the capability. It forgets about tasks even simple ones too.
So far it seems to be unreliable and not sure I can use it in my workflows in its current state.

The economics of AI are changing fast.
For accounting firms, cheaper intelligence means workflows that were impractical to automate 6 months ago are becoming viable now.
The next 6 months are going to change how accounting firms operate.
We’re building for that future at @FirmaryApp.
This will continue to increase as the older generations age out of the workforce. New generations just want things self-service and async. Having to call during business hours and align schedules is inconvenient.
With that said, different complexity problems call for different channels. Phone calls are often a much more efficient way of solving the problem.
With Opus 5.5 release and now the pro plan usage dropping significantly, why would someone want the ChatGPT $200 plan instead of the Claude $200 plan?
While I appreciate the transparency, the usage limits have been broken for a while, hence the need for resets.
If there is not something revolutionary from dev day, a lot of power users and developers are probably going to pack their bags.
