Finally got #gaussiansplatting working! I’m really impressed by how well it captured the fine details of the sneaker fabric and shoelaces, as well as the text. This was generated from 75 DSLR photos I shot on a 24mm lens, took about 30 minutes to process on an RTX 3090, and is running at a smooth 60fps on the SIBR Viewer. Going to run more tests to see how this compares to some of my experiments in photogrammetry. I’m hoping a plugin for #UnrealEngine5 comes out soon! #nerf
What representation would you use to store rich text in a database? It should be platform/framework agnostic. CommonMark? HTML? Plain text + array of formatting ranges?
I’ve been giving Mastodon a spin for the past few weeks, but must admit the more interesting and relevant discussions (for me personally) still happen on Twitter.

@lateralcast love the show, thanks so much for producing it. However, the ads for gambling and fossil fuel companies feel really odd. I understand that they are automatically inserted, but perhaps there is a way to exclude some categories?
Why would Apple build something like Freeform? https://t.co/uGbxd4woFB
It’s not a bad tool, but the strategy why they built this is unclear. My guess is that this will be one of the showcase features of their upcoming VR headset, similar to Horizon Workrooms.
@dan_abramov When the page is served via HTTP no content-type is needed in HTML, because it’s read from the HTTP-header, but when opening from file:/// the embedded content-type is used.
@felixkling Erstaunlicherweise findet man, wenn man danach googlet relativ wenig darüber. Hätte vermutet, dass das schon einige peinliche Situationen verursacht hat 😆
