文部科学省は昨年度から「科学技術教育アドバイザー任命制度」を開始。アドバイザーは、講義や探究学習への助言などを通じて、自らの専門性や経験を活かしたSTEAM教育を推進する取組を行っています。

今年度はKEK広報室所属の青木を含め、10機関より15名が任命されました。

KEKは今後も他機関と連携しながら、科学教育活動を推進してまいります。

There was very impressive progress shown in plasma-based acceleration, which has the potential to cost-effectively reach extremely high energy collisions in a relatively small facility.

The technology is still a decade or more from maturity, but is surely a candidate for the next-to-next big project.

discussions at LCWS left me feeling hopeful that a Linear Collider will be selected as a possible next large accelerator at CERN (as a back-up plan to the FCCee, should it end up being financially unfeasible)
