@ChronHib could you advise on a name form in the Book of Armagh 'Notulae' ('xii. Olcan filii..') usually assumed to refer to Bishop Olcán of Armoy. Thurneysen says names ending in -án were sometimes treated as indeclinable in the 9thC but is this persuasive to you? A late 10thC..
