@ZMarriott I hated writing my conclusion section, and still struggle with papers. When advising my students, I always ask them what they know now as a result of their PhD work that they didn't know at the beginning - how does the work coalesce together to offer a contribution...
@Karriekaka In my School, we'd expect an introduction; literature review leading to RQs; some early empirical work; and a plan to completion. You might find our training material on upgrade/probation vivas useful, available here: https://t.co/kAcOpMVfJA
Delighted that we have made our doctoral training materials public helpful for students and supervisors. Take a look - https://t.co/kAcOpMVfJA - and let us know what you think
Happy birthday to us! Sadly, there’s no cake, but today we’re still celebrating 55 years since the OU was established by Royal Charter.
Huge thanks to all members of the #OUfamily – we wouldn’t be here without you!

Thanks to @nogbad for the invite 🙏🏽
Very proud of @OUComputing colleagues @bp5, @danieljgooch & team for their highly consequential research, empowering patients to monitor their pain. Coincidentally, the work started as a thread in an @EPSRC funded privacy management project over 10yrs ago!
