This afternoon, I went to see David Lichuma at Nairobi Women's Hospital, to assess his condition and stand with his family in this moment. Hon. Eugene Wamalwa and Hon. JB Muturi accompanied me.
I will not pretend I left unmoved. David has been tortured and you can see it. And his own family is now living in fear in their own country.
Let me be clear: torture is a crime under the Rome Statute. Not a grey area. Not a political talking point. A crime.
Earlier today at the SKM Command Centre, we met with other young Kenyans dragged away last Thursday during a peaceful march to Parliament, a march where our people had gone simply to remember the children, the brothers, the sisters we buried after 25 June 2024.
And now the Subarus are back, unmarked and tinted. The ones we hoped we'd seen the last of. Kenyans are being lifted off our streets in broad daylight, in front of cameras, in front of the world's media, and disappeared to places their families cannot find. This is not a security operation. This is an assault on our Constitution, and on whatever is left of our conscience as a nation.
IPOA, the evidence is sitting in front of you. A Kenyan - “Mr Speaker” is charged and dragged through court as "yet the officer who fired the first bullet outside Parliament still walks free, uninvestigated. That is not justice. That is a double standard wearing a uniform. Act. For once, act.
We have surveyed, we have mapped, and through the People's Restorative and Justice Commission we have sat with families and recorded stories that no Kenyan should have to tell. That record will not disappear, it will be preserved, here and before the world.
On Liberation Day, when we take over, we will break ground on a monument beside the Kenyatta Mausoleum next to Parliament buildings. This will be a permanent place for Kenya to remember her fallen.
To those who bear the highest responsibility: the law has not forgotten you, and neither have we.
Kenya must account for every life lost, every bullet fired and every family left waiting at a hospital bed.
Justice must prevail.
If you see an accused person sponsoring hashtags,
Be informed that s/he is as guilty as charged.
This is the body of Cecil Ouma.
After years of working as politicians' errand boy, they have paid him with a bullet.
To those who have been paid to push hashtags to sanitize this crime,
We've been here long enough. We've seen it all and it's up to you if you don't learn anything.
Politicians are not your friends. The youths you see suffering on the streets, are your only friends
Unite against sociopolitical injustices, unite against bad governance and say NO to political sycophancy.
May Cecil Rest In Peace 💔

PS Fikirini’s security shot and killed a young person, he’s roaming free. But Halima has been arrested for allegedly being linked to an account that allegedly tracked the Presidents jet-setting travels!
What a bloody absurdity!!!!
A civilian, Cecil Ouma, was murdered INSIDE the vehicle where he had been with the PS for Youth Affairs, Jacob Fikiri. But neither the PS nor his bodyguards have been arrested. The vehicle hasn’t been seized for forensic examination. The CS and PS for interior haven’t issued any statements. The president is mute. The @DCI_Kenya and @ODPP_KE are hiding, as usual.
And the so- called opposition, even in Parliament, are busy celebrating fake opinion polls, appearing at media talk shows and spending tens of millions of shillings on political rallies!
Kenya is a Failed State!
