@DrPaulSalmon@HFES@HFandSTS@CRIT_App The trouble now is that people are using the road with two different ideas on what the ‘correct’ thing to do is https://t.co/laAEndmosJ
@DrPaulSalmon@HFES@HFandSTS@CRIT_App In the UK the Highway Code changed recently with regards to cyclists. My anecdotal experience is that a lot of people who cycle know about these changes, a lot of people who don’t, don’t!
@RP_Kruizinga@RealMattLucas@Burakk_Cinar@DCA_Design One of the interesting things for me is how the approach still works today, we have some great new tools (like VR), but the idea of creating a physical mock-up and getting stakeholders to review it is a critical part of the design process
@DrPaulSalmon If the analysis is going to be reused by others, or shared with a regulator, then there is huge value in modelling in a standardised way; however, if it’s for the learning in small group to inform a decision at a point in time - then it may be more efficient to adopt bespoke way
@DrPaulSalmon Great question, my two-cents worth is that the decision is informed (1) why the system is being modelling, and (2) whether the analysis will be reused…
