Thing I like about speaking French to a Moroccan is that they speak French back, and you have a conversation in French. Unlike the actual French, who tend to reply in English- so you end up in a strange bilingual conversation, with neither of you speaking your native language!

Our students were put to work in their classes thinking wisely and well about issues of pressing need in our communities and around the world?

We can't just tell students to be kind. If kindness stems solely from a lack of choice or agency, it may not be as virtuous as when it's freely chosen. Genuine kindness arises from a place of autonomy and compassion rather than from a sense of obligation or powerlessness.
