When the perpetrator is Muslim, the crime is immediately framed as a civilizational issue. Religion is dragged in, and millions are made to carry the guilt of one individual.
But when the perpetrator is not Muslim, the crime is usually reduced to an “isolated case,” quietly buried, or completely detached from the offender’s ideological or religious background.

Victims are victims.
Yet sympathy is not equal,
outrage is selective,
and justice in public discourse is far from blind.

This selective silence serves neither truth nor victims.
It protects no innocent person.
Instead, it reinforces a distorted narrative:
that evil is condemned only when it comes from certain people,
and excused or ignored when it comes from others.

Calling for justice does not mean defending anyone.
It means demanding one standard for all:
whoever commits a crime is held accountable,

If they could stop us from learning the Arabic language or using it in worship, they will.

If they could banish the Qur’ān from our homes and hearts, they will.

If they could burn every copy of the Sunnah, they will.

If they could sever our children from the stories of the Prophet’s mercy and the legacy of his companions, they will.

If they could bury the stories of Bilāl’s call and Sumayyah’s stand, they will.

If they could erase the legacy of the Ṣaḥābah and Tābiʿīn, they will.

If they could rewrite the seerah to hide the mercy, sacrifices and love of RasūluLlah (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) they will.

If they could empty the Masājid of worshippers at Fajr and turn mosques into ruins, they will.

If they could demolish the Kaʿbah stone by stone, they will.

If they could forbid the pilgrimage to Makkah, they will.

If they could forbid the fasting of Ramaḍān and break the fast of the believer before the sun sets, they will.

If they could outlaw the ifṭār gatherings that bind our families, they will.

If they could outlaw the Eid celebrations that fill our streets with joy, they will.

If they could outlaw the greeting of As-salāmu ʿalaykum, they will.

If they could shatter the bonds of the Ummah, they will.

If they could extinguish the lamps of knowledge in Madāris, they will.

If they could prevent the seeking of knowledge in the path of Allah, they will.

If they could stop the hands giving Ṣadaqah in the dark of night, they will.

If they could hide the modesty that protects both gaze and heart, they will.

If they could silence the duʿāʾ rising after every hardship and at dawn, they will.

If they could drown the voices reciting Qur’ān in the night, they will.

If they could dilute our tawakkul and turn faith into folklore, they will.

If they could banish the light of tawḥīd from hearts, they will.

If they could extinguish the taqwā that guards our souls in secret, they will.

If they could turn our consciousness of Allah into forgetfulness, they will.

If they could strip the Muslim women and force them to walk around naked or half-nude, they will.

If they could erase our Islamic identity and melt us into shadows, they will.

Yet Allah, the Most High, has promised:
“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will be its guardian.”

His words are guarded, His deen is perfected and preserved, His light cannot be quenched, His rope cannot be severed, and no force can overcome what He has willed.

Truth prevails over falsehood, His promise is true, His victory is near, and Allah is sufficient for us, He is the best Disposer of affairs.

Know your religion, understand it deeply, and stand firmly upon it.
