@liza_dollar@luv_brown Clearly Wade had to have known. Maybe he didn’t know how to unravel it without upsetting her until it got too late? Like a mental health thing?
@JanetScoop@ZeroYear97 I concur. Kind of like Cleveland in Family Guy for so long. For some reason I always bought DCAU Lex being black much easier than Harv, but it’s basiclaly the same conundrum. I’m more excited for BTH as Harvey than Stan anyways. I think it could rule
@JanetScoop@ZeroYear97 I’m specifically talking about Batman The Animated Series, voiced by very white Richard Moll. I could very well be wrong. But I feel the Black characters were depicted more traditionally and faithfully voiced by Black voice actors
@JanetScoop@ZeroYear97 Of course, but there’s no other corroborating evidence that this was the creator’s intention, unless you know of something else. In 1992 there was not quite that level of nuance to these characters. I’m not against the idea, I just don’t think we should be revisionists there.
@MarceloPr01 It reads like Baz heard he worked with makeup team, and since he assumed he is playing Two-Face, he put two and two together foolishly. But ethically he should address it at some point.
@ZeroYear97 With no judgement - I don’t believe it’s ever been confirmed that BTAS Harvey was black. In fact the original story bible and guide lists his skin tone as Flesh PMS 473, same as Alfred and Bruce. Mildly racist to think he’s black just from selectlt drawn facial features
@2FaceDeezNuts22 Sebastian Stan is not a “big star” IMO. 99% of the public would walk right by him on the street and have no clue. And Scarlet was always going to be the “main villain”. Only Marvel fanatics somehow elevated Stan to this faux spotlight in the casting
@Rohanjirale I think in the mind of an actor, playing a mentally deranged serial killer has the potential to be considered “many roles”. As in fractured mental states. It could’ve been actor speak.
@BatSource1 Your mistake is in agreeing with Reeves that surprise has currency these days. In plot, perhaps. In casting, not so much. It has and will create more division than excitement at this point.
@Bosslogic If you read between the lines, no one ever confirmed Stan as Two Face other than some trade magazine writers filling in gaps. The lack of official announcement should’ve clued everyone in that there was a surprise coming. However the studio let it go on too long
@TheInSneider If this is true, this is a perfect lesson why this much misdirection can be radioactive now for these fanbases. Fans have already fallen in love with Stan as Harvey, and now they will have to untangle that. This should be remembered by studios in the future.
@KiKo4kt@Rico52410053670@BS_Publications@TheInSneider I’m saving this because I think you’re wrong. But you’re right that this author of the article would’ve had to inject a lot of assumptions and should be called out for it if it’s true.
