@drantbradley He told his mistress that he had prayed and fasted about being rid of his wife and God told him yes. He said he would be like David in the Bible. Sin corrupts and deceives deeply and the destructive price is unfathomable.
@__Injaneb96 @Markins Romans 5For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person, though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die-but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us
@__Injaneb96 @Markins Read the Bible…start in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John and prepare to be surprised by the grace and kindness of Jesus.
@martensmatt1 I’ve been to several funerals over the last few months and what I’m seeing from to many ministers in how they’re handling funeral sermons is nothing short of malpractice.
@RyanNMayberry We love Valle Crucis. We’ve stayed in the cabins just to the left of where you’re sitting in this photo. Do you know how they faired the flood?
@bigwave777777@DannySlavich Why address the premise when she’s repeatedly misquoting and outright changing what people have said in order to build her case for the premise? Isn’t this bearing false witness?
@RichardCaster@martensmatt1 Matthew 16:18
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
A good word.
We are at an exciting stage of growth where visitors who’ve attended a few weeks are bringing friends with them and teenagers are showing up regularly without parents bringing them.
People are seeking. And they aren’t looking for a laser light show
When "Name it, claim it" becomes "Name'm, shame'm."
😢
*If you're in a church like this, just leave. Helping each other honor the Lord with your wealth is good and right, but this is spiritual abuse.

@reachjulieroys @PsRobertMorris @HighlandsAL Why is it so commonplace to seek to “restore” fallen disqualified pastors to the pastorate? Biblical restoration for repentance of serious sin simply means lovingly receiving the repentant former leader into the care of the local church body, not restoration to leadership.
@guiltgracepod However I do think we are generally overmedicating people and often times doctors don’t listen to their patients enough when a particular medicine is having negative side effects. But this is a different conversation than implying meds for mental health are unspiritual.
@guiltgracepod “If you want to solve your sight problem, don’t turn to prescription glasses, turn to Christ.” Why does he think it’s an either or? What happened to seeing modern medicine as a gift of God’s common grace?
