@biotech_moose Buddy. Any institutional investor who wants to buy the name will use a broker (GS, MS, JPM, etc) who will route orders to one of 40-50 ATSs or “off exchange”. So any HF closing a short will access all that liquidity. The price they pay will by rule be the same as an exchange

@biotech_moose Pfof is a rebate paid by a MM to a retail broker. Has nothing to do with trading in an ATS or a dark pool. All of which is 100% accessible and “off exchange” and transacts by rule at the same price as on a lit exchange per rule 611. Again you have no idea.
