Richard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond. Kyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR’s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry. No one can carry it forward to the level that he did. The No. 8 is reserved and ready for Brexton Busch when he is ready to go NASCAR racing.
"[Dale Earnhardt's PR guy] said they were out working around the barn one day and Dale told him, 'Look, if I get killed in a race car I don't want anybody crying and moping around.' He'd want us all to go out there Sunday and race 400 miles as hard as we could."

I don’t think anyone wanted to go to work today, but I did with my Kyle Busch championship t-shirt after barely any sleep after watching 2012 bud shootout at 1 am. Still can’t believe it 💔
Crappy day today. Good friend of mine who drove our hauler at times a few years ago died after taking being in a coma for a few weeks.
Fell off a damn lift gate at the race shop and never recovered. Gonna miss ya Trucker Mike. God speed buddy
