@SimbaNyamadzawo l am victim from last week friday and not in zim .ln my own opinion the blame lies with whatsapp as there is a weakness in their appy which is being used by hackers to hijack the accounts and whatsapp needs to reduce the waiting period to reset the account to 48hrs from 7day

@begottensun I would agree with all what you saying but it's also happening in SA as l am a victim also.l do think the security of the whatsapp has been breached and we should not portion all the blame to MNO but to @WhatsApp .

@SydneyChinyadza @CXavi06 @CalvinTeddy @WhatsApp I didn't open any link .They first sim swapped my cellphone and then proceeded to hack into my WhatsApp which had 2FA security protocol in place and changed all the verification details to theirs.

@MTNza Why is it easy to do sim swap without proper verification of the owner of the cellphone number. My cellphone number was sim swapped on Friday afternoon and this resulted in this criminal hacking into my WhatsApp even with 2FA security protocol in place.

@begottensun Its even happening with @MTN SA .These hackers at first they do sim swap and then proceed to hack into people's WhatsApp account. Even with 2FA in place they got control of my account. @WhatsApp need to update their security system as it is breached by these hackers.
