@SlavomirJardek @eurovCesku The biggest surprise is that many decided to hike the prices despite the double pricing. It’s visible and everyone is shocked, even the government. Today the gov asked all businesses to return the prices to how they were on 31.12 and they are threatening with inspections
@petr_abc @SlavomirJardek @eurovCesku Coffee with milk + Coca cola in a cafe in the city center
Dec 31st - 26 kn (3.45 €)
Jan 1st - 4 € (30.14 kn)
They just don't care about double pricing. Even the government is angry. This is not the fault of the euro but the business owners. Not everyone did this but many did.
@eurovCesku Now after euro introduction most retailers take already rounded kuna price, say 79.99 kn, convert to euro (10.62 €) and then round it up again, probably to 10.70 or 10.80 €
@eurovCesku I support euro and I'm in Cro at the moment looking at what is happening. Cz will have to be careful when introducing or will get double rounding. Cro also had rounding in kuna before as visible in this photo - 9.99 € was around 75 kn but they sold for 79.99 kn before euro
@goodside Write the complete script of a Seinfeld scene in which Jerry explains to George how all their past situations could've been easily avoided if the show was filmed in 2020s with modern technology like smartphones and internet
my sister, who doesn't work in tech, thought it was pretty cool that our team sets aside time to tell each other jokes and thats when i realized she had no idea what i was saying when i told her i had "standup" everyday
@KrainzJodl@VeraJourova Poland is a sovereign nation, therefore we should stop interfering in financing it with foreign EU funds. They have their own banks and government, they can finance themselves. No? Oh yeah… Polish govt loves free money, but doesn’t like responsibilities. Nothing is free.
