U of L spent decades trying to figure out how to make students care:
Free busses from campus? Points system to reward attendance? T-shirts and hats?
Nah... all it took was for the Head Coach to give a darn. To show that he values the student section.
BOOM.
A+ @patkelsey
We have a new @MastracciLab graduate! Congrats Caleb Rutan on passing your MS thesis defense 🎉🎉🎉
I am also so grateful to all past and present lab members (not all shown) - you make it a joy to come to work every day (even when you photoshop my head in to strange pictures)🤣
Our faculty are awesome!! Congratulations on your promotions 🎉Dr. Teri Belecky-Adams, Professor; Dr. Forrest Brem, Senior Lecturer; Dr. Patricia Clark, Teaching Professor; Dr. Teresa Mastracci, Associate Professor with tenure. We couldn’t be more proud 💫

Let the fun begin! Super jazzed to be visiting @OHSUSOM and @jF_lab_. The day is packed — I can’t wait to meet everyone and share our new work that investigates “on demand” protein synthesis. Secretory cells (not just #beta cells) are amazing
@DanielJDrucker beat me to it! Our study in @Diabetes_ADA is online! Spoiler alert…we found an mRNA #translation mechanism in the #beta cell that regulates “on-demand” protein synthesis. Coolest finding-#Insulin is translationally regulated! Pls read & RT

My second first-author paper has officially been published in @JMolEndo!
The paper investigates how flux through different G6P pathways influence each other and suggests that G6PC2 inhibitors would not influence glucocorticoid signaling.
