Don’t say much on here these days but I’m really sad to hear this. Nick was a good guy. Kind, fair, funny, generous, always on top of his brief, and did local politics the right way (often with a wink), He definitely made Leicestershire a better place.

A composite press photo of Chris Balderstone who on September 15th 1975 finished the day on 51* for Leicestershire at Chesterfield and then drove 30 miles to for Doncaster v Brentford in their Division 4 match, returning for the final hours of the Leicestershire celebrations at their hotel as earlier that day they had secured the County Championship.
