Over the last few years of various trials/ tribulations, it has become totally clear that if you're a man with problems, you literally have noone to turn to. All people are interested in is what you can do for them. You are basically on your own to sort your issues out.
@Pushk1n9@HarrySword BBC2 had Moviedrome I think with Alex Cox, and I remember the Banned season on channel 4 in particular in the early 90s, which coincided with getting my first portable TV in my room, educational times!
@HarrySword Loved coming home late after my part time job in a restaurant as a teen and sticking on whatever was on BBC2 or C4.. got introduced to Mad Max, Videodrome, Dawn of the Dead, Jubilee, amongst many others.. was so awesome and has had actually a massive impact on my future tastes
@nickpopemod Hi Nick, I live in the UK and have been following UAP's since the late 90's. As such, you are very familiar to me, and while we have never met, I find this news extremely sad, but what a life! Love to you and to your family.
@Evanryt I think it's pretty common knowledge that Kurt saw REM as an example of how to go massive while retaining their integrity and identity. As for Green, as a first major label release for REM it's still pretty idiosyncratic despite Pop Song 89.. Hairshirt? I remember California?
@Britpopmemories@berenyi_miki@lushbandtweets@handandspear Didn't see them here, but did see them around that time at the Uni of Sussex student union. For some reason I really remember Miki taking the piss out of another band that used some spray to lubricate a fretboard, thought she was awesome..
