The plot to annihilate worshippers at a Hindu temple in Illinois USA is not surprising one bit. Families gathering to pray should never become targets because a racist believes they do not belong in America, yet this anti Indian racism is very popular now in 2020s USA.

Alexandros Paporakis expressed hatred towards Indians and planned an attack on a Hindu place of worship. Investigators reportedly recovered a rifle, ammunition, body armour and a manifesto expressing white supremacist views. Reports indicate that his rifle jammed and coworkers subsequently alerted police. That is how close an ordinary religious gathering came to becoming a mass grave.

White supremacy was marginalised under Obama to one stormfront messaging board. Now it has emerged into the mainstream and social media including this app has normalised it.

Indian Americans do not need to justify their presence by listing their high salaries, top tier qualifications or highest tax contributions. Their right to live safely does not depend on being the most productive members of America. They are human beings entitled to equal protection.

Hindu temples must hire extra armed guards. Threats must be taken seriously. Authorities should investigate the alleged plot thoroughly, examine any connections to extremist networks and prosecute every offence supported by evidence. The coworkers who reported their concerns deserve a reward from the Indian American community.

American Political leaders both RW and LW must be pressured to condemn Indophobia and anti Indian hatred unequivocally. We should not overlook an alleged plan to delete Indians because the intended victims survived.

Rahul Gandhi wants to breach the 50% limit on combined SC/ST/OBC quotas by bringing in a constitutional amendment. He has also called for reservations on caste basis in **private** colleges. I have criticised Modi and BJP no end for their caste politics, my conscience is clear. But any Middle Class UC H Male supporting the Congress has masochistic tendencies. It is mental slavery.
