@Voultar It's potentially worse, because sony already shown that they can delete files off your console, and apparently they will do it with these movies they had to remove from the store.
@romanhelmetguy Drats!, here goes the dual zeon-american citizenship plans.
No descendant that has to pilot a Zaku II that has a cowboy hat and a really big six shooter
@Pirat_Nation I personally would go after the "power" of deleting stuff from the consumer ssds without their consent.
I bet a good lawyer could fit this into a hacking law.
@shanaka86 I didn't even knew about the part of closing the PS3/vita stores. i was pretty sure you would talk about how they will be literally deleting movies off your SSD because the license they had expired.
@EliasDaler This story is probably amplified by the Sony's pretty bad timing, announcing along with a demonstration of their power of erasing things from your machine. (the news about the removal of the movies, including copies in your own machine)
@Pirat_Nation On PC, you have control over the file system, so you can copy files etc..
On closed systems like the consoles on the other hand, you don't even know which files are in the SSD, much less control em or stop the vendor from remotely deleting files without your consent
@LORDCOSMOERA@Pirat_Nation Not really, malicious people will just enjoy their certified "kid status" to do what they always do.
What this is for is ending anonymity on the internet so politicians can get you.
@PubSafetyHero@joinautopilot I think it's on the interest of literally everyone but the literal RAM cartel that the RAM production is scaled up.
Every corporation, every AI mogul, every drug cartel, every disney sector...
Trying to squeeze mafiosos, or worse, disney is probably not the best of the ideas
@eevblog Just need to be careful with the windows tendency of murdering grub on purpose.
I do have a "windows for emergency uses" but i keep it in another drive.
@BenjiGameDev Phones will immediately end the game market if consoles get this expensive or turn into stream.
They're already the biggest share of the market, and it's just downhill from here.
