@AgeOfSecrecy@Faytuks Why is it ok for Russia to export 6x more #wheat than Ukraine. If Russia wants to stop Ukrainian exports, then ALL Russian grain exports and fertilizer must be completely stopped too. Remove Russian from SWIFT payment procedures.

Leverage That Fueled US Stock Rally Becomes a Growing Concern
Equity financing costs have jumped unexpectedly with the greater demand to hold leveraged positions, as well as additional need to make room for huge initial public offerings. Typically, the costs tend to rise around the end of the year as banks manage regulatory capital and balance sheet usage.
CME Group Inc.’s S&P 500 Index adjusted interest rate total return futures have climbed to levels last seen in late 2024, when a similar combination of large long futures positions and a sustained market rally was exacerbated by banks’ year-end constraints.
“The cost of funding for US markets has exploded, reflecting a perfect storm between leveraged ETF growth, extended long futures positioning, IPO/ADR programs tying up bank capital and prime brokerage growth,” said Kent.
One risk of the high leverage is that it can exacerbate swings, making the market more fragile.
“Together, they increase the market’s sensitivity to liquidity shocks, raising the risk that relatively modest moves become self-reinforcing,” Kent added. (Bloomberg)
The blockade is a success. It's crimping Iran's oil revenues materially while barely pushing up oil prices. There's an big lesson here. Had we done this to Russia, it wouldn't still be causing mayhem in Ukraine. Lots of lessons to learn for the future...

There is a reason that I am concerned about the Trump/Xi meeting in May
SOYBEANS: Per USDA, US soybean commitments to China for MY 2025/26 are down 49% YoY. Brazil already supplies 90%+ of China's imports. A 50% tariff gives Beijing the excuse to cancel purchase commitments and permanently cut US farmers out.
PORK: China takes 54% of US pork variety meat, worth roughly $10/hog. No domestic replacement market for these products. Last time China slapped retaliatory tariffs, weekly exports dropped 72% overnight.
CRITICAL MINERALS: This is the big one.
Per USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026: China controls roughly 90% of global permanent magnet production. These NdFeB magnets go into guided missiles, F-35 engines, drone motors, submarine propulsion. Anything converting electricity to motion. The key rare earths (neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, terbium) have ZERO domestic heavy rare earth separation capacity in the US.
And it's not just magnets. Yttrium, used in military laser targeting systems, jet engine thermal coatings, and radar, is a narrower but acute vulnerability: 100% import-reliant, 93% sourced from China per USGS.
BTW, it is ok to be asking questions about this.
Air raid alert in Kharkiv ‼️
So much for the Easter ceasefire that Putin declared himself. They can’t even keep their own promise of a ceasefire for a day, and idiots want us to give up Donbas for their word.
Ukraine should not have to retreat one inch. It is Russia who is the invader and bombing cities. Russia has lost conquered territory the last three months so it should be Russia who has to concede land.
No one serious from Trump’s team has visited Kyiv, one of the most important cities in global politics right now.
But they’re heading to Hungary, a tiny country of 9 million people, to prop up Russian puppet Orbán.
Tells you everything.
I just watched this podcast on YouTube. I found it fascinating. My take home points are:
1. Know your numbers
2. Manage your risk
3. Run a clean operation.
Simple basic business fundamentals.
@AmbDanFried 🎯...."We forced Ukraine to give up nuclear weapons, cruise missiles, and strategic bombers.
We promised to protect Ukraine from Russia.
We made Ukraine vulnerable.
So yes,this is our war."
