Earlier this year I completely rebuilt a pool controller on wifi - something I'd cobbled together a couple of years ago on an ardunio opta. The software was quite complex. I know enough C++ to be dangerous - but with claude code I could just articulate the features and software architecture. Huge unlock!
@DmytroKrasun@asmartbear Great watch. Amazing that @asmartbear would offer his time to you and well done making yourself so vulnerable and facing, at times, some difficult questions about you and your business! ⭐️ Sometimes you just need to get in a room with the right people.
Firstly it took me a lot of loss and pain to get to the point of change. Knowing you need to stop and wanting to stop are very different things. My situation was dire and involved a number of other substances. But if you want to get where sober people are then go and spend time with sober people. Although I’m not active in 12 step communities any more I really do owe it a lot. Just being surrounded with people who had been where I was was a huge help in itself. There is a lot of doctrine in AA but if you can look past some of it the community is amazing. I got sober in Leeds there was a strong community there and I imagine in Sheffield (a city I have fondness for and where I practiced my early days of drinking and drugging!) has similar. People stop (or not) at various levels of bad and I wish I had cut it short years earlier. But I’m grateful I got there. I could not go 2 hours without a drink let alone 2 days, 2 weeks or - nearly 10 years. Felt impossible.
@VibeBurg@JasonSwett Spent a lot of my time doing that before. For me it was not quality time just wasting time shit talking, avoiding life. Each to their own though!
@levelsio New entrants to the market are low effort have-a-go-harries. The quality players, they're just going to use AI to lever up and do bigger things, because they can do more with their limited time. It still requires the skill, the effort. Different people, different products.
