Coaches in Shanghai series continues... @danmeehan01 knows how to ask the right question at the right time. Really impressive high performance insights. If it doesn’t make a difference is it really high performance? Well done on the win in difficult circumstances.
Don't have access to GPS? Maybe session availability monitoring might help:⬇️ availability in prior 84 days =⬆️ risk of injury if rushed back over 7 days. Great stuff from @joshua_ruddy from his work at @melbournefc now available https://t.co/dIHHG8a78z

No changes in length required when increasing your running speed from 80 to 100%, but the forces increase (non linearly) by 50% & 70% (positive & negative work)
Be very careful progressing your running speed clinically: 10%asked increase might mean 40%negative work increase
NEW: Very low & very high exposures to >85% of an individual’s maximal velocity over the previous 8 weeks were associated with greater #injury risk @colby_marcus@BrentRogalski https://t.co/e2q8GSsV8r
Our new paper on RT frequency shows fairly similar increases in muscle growth between 1 vs 2 days/wk per muscle w/volume equated. Take home: Substantial increases in growth are seen training muscles 1x/wk, even in those with resistance training experience https://t.co/GFc33tnE95
Nice to get this one accepted in @EJApplPhys - well done @NessanCostello (& @K_Deighton) - a great addition to the collision sport literature.
Big hits = high energy (to recover)... so eat well!
The Person comes before the Athlete. Always. 2 hours training won't correct 22 hours of poor lifestyle habits and poor welfare issues. These cause elite athletes the greatest issues - playing the game is the easy part!

SPECIAL STRENGTH || IMO any sprint-jump drill is fair game to load to emphasis diff items & skill acq in a field/track session. I also use these in gym work where these would be a “fast” exercise. Typical power combos - slow” (eg O Lift), “fast” & “medium” (eg jump/throw) 👊👊
