@LouStagner It obviously depends on a skill level and shot difficulty, but good general rule for me to consider a shot decent is to have less than 10% of the distance on the next shot. Whether it’s 200yd or 20ft putt. So I’m never upset if I hit a 80yd shot inside of 20ft. I’m 8hcp btw.

@ZyoniK_ I was at 2930 this season, dropped to 2770, got back to 2950 and dropped to 2640. Now in 2700s but I don’t really have my hopes up anymore..

@LouStagner @ArccosGolf This data is skewed by the duffs/bladed shots. Chipping from 10yd is easy to learn and repeat, it’s a very basic golf shot. Putting from 70ft is difficult on every level and is impossible to “learn”, it’s all feel.

@LouStagner As much as I like these analyses, this one needs more information. It’ll depend how difficult the second shot is (what’s around the green) and how long the hole is to begin with (it’s different if it’s 350yd, different if 400)

@LouStagner I think you’d have to be an absolute horrific chipper or world class putter to go with option 2. I’m a better putter than chipper in general but I’m still almost sure I can get the ball closer to the hole than from 60ft.

@gm__golf I’m not sure how it’ll work with handicaps but you guys should arrange the groups so either best players are matched with each other or (even better), start at random and do back9 (or last few holes) matching based on scores.

@danielZnyiri @InadequancePOGO If USA has 100k athletes for some sport and Hungary has 10, then most likely Hungary won’t send any and USA will send a few. Unless among these 10 Hungarians there’s some real talent then he might have a chance. Should be the same here, more slots for bigger events.
