Had a fantastic time yesterday training with @HMCoastguard on a difficult access and extrication scenario. Ending with fish and chips and an ice cream!
Huge thanks to @BerridgeSam for inviting us all.
Some fantastic resources! Would definitely recommend them to colleagues!
I plan on using them to deliver some CPD to @SJAOperations@stjohnambulance Emergency Ambulance Crew.
All credits provided of course. @JoeHunter1991

Thank you for the invite @SM6_MHSC_Acad! The students were really engaging and we look forward to, one day, welcoming them to @YorksAmbulance! @davy_SHU
Yesterday Danny and Stephen from @YorksAmb came to talk to our aspiring Paramedics from Years 12 & 13. Following the session, the students were invited to explore the inner workings of the ambulance and were excited to activate the lights and sirens!

@Rachel_A_ @SaskiaCampbell4 Happened to me this week. I rang the surgery to give some advice and educate. They denied any wrong doing. Which are we to believe?
Good morning, Yorkshire. We hope everyone has a happy and healthy weekend.
We're here if you need us, call 999 in an emergency or visit https://t.co/31JzEY4ncX if you need urgent medical advice.

I have been to two jobs recently which has seen @YASCFR volunteers on scene first. It makes a massive difference for both patients and for the crew that arrives. I’ve been impressed by the professionalism shown too. Thank you! #OneTeam@YorksAmbulance
It’s still happening:
Today it was 3 uncomfortable hours my elderly patient sat on the stretcher for.
That's 3 hours of delayed treatment and 3 hours the next patient had to wait.
Something needs to change…
Please use the NHS and emergency services appropriately!
'Ambulances are queuing outside of hospitals, patients are being cared for in the ambulances and there are patients out in the community that don't get an ambulance response because there's simply none left to send' says paramedic Will Broughton.

The medical team at @OfficialBHAFC (@DrRobGalloway, @stjohnambulance, @SECAmbulance) has just become the first UK football club to trial ePOC, allowing near-instant blood test results for unwell patients on match days.
It’s an exciting time to be a part of the team!
If you have a medical worry - but it's not an emergency - please go to https://t.co/oWFZ4iE4Ef to get the right help for your needs.
Calling 999 doesn't guarantee you'll be taken to hospital or if you are taken in, that you'll be seen quicker because you came by ambulance.
GP: No appts today, go to the pharmacy.
Pharmacy: Can’t help, call 111
111: Sorry We can’t help we’re sending an ambulance.
15hrs later: Ambulance refers to OOHGP for abx.
Is it any wonder why patients are fed up with this system? Are we system navigators for patients?
