@epengu Yeah that's fair. All i meant was they went back to it in 8! Kinda just proving your original point, i like alola and it gets better to me in context.

@epengu I guess the smallness just appeals to me? I was less frustrated with not being able to explore alola than galar given that alola had the constraint of being on islands and had actual caves and puzzles.

@epengu I mean that's totally fair. Design-wise they definitely are lacking (though I'm happy they changed it up and didn't include the massive city that every gen since 5 had). I just feel like alola had a really good sense of place
