This might be one of the dumbest things I have ever read from PBD and I'm a fan. Age based tax brackets? The solution isn't an arbitrary stat like age. Its formula driven something that is tied between wages and inflation. Asset holders benefit from inflation while wage earners struggle. Since the government is 100% responsible for inflation and taxation, no tax for ANY American below that wage formula. I've iterated on this a few times and the number ranges from $120,000 to $262,000 of income.
How about eliminating taxes for earners for the first $250,000 in income. The economic impact on this would be tremendous. The new social contract needs to tie results of policies by politicians and their parties to ability to stay in office. The new social contract should come with accountability…
@PeterSchiff@GrantCardone I’d add that this should be applicable to oocre that smbs own. Create a threshold of what qualifies, SBA size standards perhaps. True income producing assets, should be taxed.
@benjhaberman 100% agree with this. Tremendous opportunity to improve insurance. We’re both in NJ and our costs are ridiculous. Im in the AI space so I get it but I believe in a more distributed smaller base of companies so having solutions to make those advisors better is the move.
No doubt. AI is here. I also think AI is going to be a renaissance for smb. Tools like Claude Code are only getting better. Tech is no longer a moat for major corporations. Economically speaking, the over consolidation of industries, particularly in banking has caused decreased competition and created a lot of risk in the system. Insurance is old and antiquated but decently fragmented on the insurance side.
Congratulations, it’s a big opportunity. If there ever comes a time to pivot or expand the model, choose to empower advisors to help ensure we don’t create another over consolidated or concentrated industry. I look forward to watching the journey.
And if you ever need high quality SMB & Private Industry data, Bizminer has it!
@roelofbotha if you like this play, you’d like what we’re doing. Insurance, SMB, M&A, Lending, Private Intelligence - we’re impacting it all. To make Main Street better.

Commercial mortgages are generally part of an income producing strategy. Residential homes are not. Cash strapped Americans should not be entering into complicated products. Please remember the laxed guidelines and adjustable of 2008. A portable mortgage seems to be the best thing to spur home transactions.
@elonmusk Don’t we need to identify a more powerful, abundant power source to make any real progress from an exploration perspective. Fossil Fuels are finite and solar is not the solution.
@PeterSchiff I agree intervening in private markets doesn’t feel very pro-capitalism. There could be ripple effects that impact capital access which is a key driver of economic growth. With that said, a rate reduction could lead to stronger balance sheets for many households.
