@jppeters57@JonasLaursen15 You get the point bro. People are outraged because it is (a) the US involved and (b) trump got involved. Otherwise, there would have been noise but not to this level. UEFA is worse imo.
@Bryan_Egan@MaxRadwan I think he is gaslighting. Scheduling is done before the ball is even kicked. No way FIFA would have known how Canada or any other team would perform. What he is suggesting means a change to the schedule. The other teams will not accept. Fans had already bought tickets too.
@JDNalton From my understanding, the group winner gets the advantage. Nothing to do with USA , Canada or Mexico. Same case with last cup where the Group winners stayed in the host City for the group games.
@Disembe I disagree bro. But that’s just my POV. We can develop our sports by supporting local clubs, paying membership/gate fees, etc. Baadaye, these clubs will attract corporate sponsorships and develop/improve the infrastructure.
@_brunotweets@p_atrk@Disembe Sports don’t grow because of stadiums, they grow because of demand. Even matches played at Nyayo or Kasarani don’t get many fans. What truly matters is filling the stands with fans. Once the passion and attendance are there, infrastructure will naturally follow.
@tommy124t@gergmitch Ignore him. There have been good, competitive games so far. On the money part, that is the direction elite sports has taken - nothing to do with FIFA or the host countries.
@mesde_jayson@CarolRadull The graphic is misleading. The winner of the championship or the playoff doesn’t get that much from the EFL. The amount quoted is potential increase in revenue by being in the PL. It is prospective, not retrospective like UCL or World Cup. So not comparable.
@angiewahu @DavisThuranira I agree 💯. It is easier to complain than to offer solutions. Millennials are the driving force behind much of the revolutionary tech we rely on today. That is their contribution to society. It’s now up to Gen Z to stand up and offer something without blaming other generations.
@Dr_AustinOmondi@DavidNdii All the drivers and conductors can be absorbed in the public system. So minimal loss of jobs. Also, the government can start with city transportation and then see how it goes. But it has to be done if Nairobi wants to continue attracting human capital
@Karobo254@Goddie_Ke No. Only 500 is subject to tax. All other payroll deductions (NSSF, AHL and SHA) are applicable regardless of the level of income. So technically you will earn more by taking the additional 500/=.
@OcornelsOnX@MutaiNaibei@mbiti_mwondi Actually the SMEs are mostly non compliant. Big companies and high net worth individuals are largely compliant let us be honest. How many people in Eastleigh, Kamukunji, Luthuli, Gikomba pay taxes? Yet they are loaded compared to a guy on a payslip getting 70k pm.
