@PrestonRuther10 Thanks for this Preston, what would you say to somebody who is starting out either as a serial builder or a challenger/a newcomer to e-commerce?
@alexisohanian Then it wouldn’t be called USA it would be stilll be called British America lol & all of your soccer teams would be bigger than any NFL team!
@maxmarchione I think they're a little bit too late, you already have really large players, although the move is valiant, this is less of a shocker and more of a pivot out of the failing token Al as a business model. Similar to that of Meta going into prediction markets and cloud computing.
@buildcanada@kevinolearytv AI doesn’t have a PR issue it has a lack of responsibility issue that every other major industry has a standard that they have to hold themselves to, and AI doesn’t so it runs wild. AI can be responsible & innovators need to get innovating on how to set & achieve that standard.
@buildcanada@kevinolearytv The usage data is skewed cuz water consumption isn’t the real issue. Data centres aren’t the problem hyperscalers are. They often don’t return water to the watershed, and all operate in regions where their usage directly impacts local communities. That’s why people push back.
@buildcanada@kevinolearytv hyper scaler's are located near the major water basins which affect 80 million Americans, and each hyper scaler affects 10,000 to 50,000 people.
@buildcanada@kevinolearytv 2/5ths or 40% of hyperscalers data centers are located in areas of high or extreme water stress. Meaning: the communities in those regions REALLY FEEL EACH GALLON! It affects about 1.3 BILLION people, that's not a small amount of people!
@EricTopol@mkaeberlein@Nature@EricTopol Doctor, there are over 120 FDA approved peptide compounds with established safety profiles. Given the field's diversity, wouldn’t it be more precise to distinguish approved peptides from non approved ones, rather than a broad brush?
This space isn’t monolithic.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think abandoning the entire beta group and not giving any updates on announced releases that don’t happen is a good look. I’ve seen some spin in the discord about a shift to make etc. but c’mon that’s some blass!
@orenmeetsworld@justinmooretfam this may be a rare one, but I feel like if one actively does their own business development as well, tends to work out pretty well, versus just passively, waiting for a company or brand to notice, thoughts?
