ROAD NETWORK : 33 Township Road Completed And 51 Nearing Completion.

Gov. @Ahmedaliyuskt administration has so far constructed and commissioned over 80 different township roads within Sokoto metropolis alone.

An additional 41 township roads are currently being constructed in Sokoto North and South Local Government Areas of Sokoto state.

Just few days ago, Gov. Ahmed Aliyu again awarded contracts for inter- local governments and rural roads covering 168.88 kilometers asphalt and another 187 kilometers of feeder roads across the state.

Some of these roads are;

1- Huci-Gidan Kamba-Lugu junction road

2- Wurno-Kwargaba-Sabon gari road

3- Goronyo-Kirare road

4- Wurno -Tunga- Kagara-Gidan Bango road

5- Prison yard-Yagawal-Nabaguda-Dogon Daji, Birnin Kebbi main road-Hurumi-Gidan faruku road.

6- Gurmun gawo - Garko-Mazangari-Kunkumi, Abbatoir-Hurumi-Lukuyawa road.

7- Kaurar mido kaurar miyo-Abdussalm-Sifawa road.

All these, are part of deliberate efforts to connect the various local governments through road network for enhanced economic and agricultural activities for the rural populace.

BAD DAYS FOR NOTORIOUS BANDIT BELLO TURJI ;

Gov. @Ahmedaliyuskt has again donated an additional 10 patrol Bufallo vehicles to the military to boost security in the state.

Presenting the vehicles to the Minister of State for Defence Bello Muhammad Mutawalle, Gov. Aliyu appreciated President Bola Tinubu's concern on the security challenges facing the nation.

"When i met Mr President, we discussed extensively on the security situation in our dear state, and he assured me of his support towards putting an end to all the security challenges affecting us.

"Mr President has redeemed his pledged by sending the Honourable Minister and service chiefs and Alhamdullahi, we are seeing the results., we thank Mr President most sincerely" he dded.

Gov. Aliyu further said the 10 patrol Bufallo vehicles given to the military were in addition to the 100 vehicles earlier given to security agencies in order to fight banditry in the state.

Responding, the minister for state Defense Bello Matawalle said the presidential directive that they relocate to Sokoto was as result of an intense pressure the Governor kept mounting on Mr President on the need to come to the rescue of the state.

"Mr Governor, I want to tell you that because of the seriousness you have shown on addressing the security challenges in the state, Mr President has approved the purchase of CMG vehicles that would be stationed in Sokoto under a new operation code named "FANSAR YAMMA ", aimed at securing the North-West,"he disclosed.

SO FAR, THE BEST ECONOMIC ADVISORY COUNCIL IN NIGERIA

Governor Dr. @Ahmedaliyuskt inaugurated one of the best economic advisory councils in Nigeria today to boost the state economy and tasked it with the responsibility of developing a comprehensive roadmap.

Due to the ongoing challenge of serving debts inherited from the previous administration of Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the lack of economic data and weak tax collection systems in Sokoto. There's a need for this.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s Comprehensive Approach to Security.

Upon assuming office on May 29, 2023, Governor @Ahmedaliyuskt of Sokoto State made security his top priority in a 9-point agenda for his administration. In just over a year, his decisive actions have yielded remarkable results, positioning him as a leading figure in tackling banditry and insecurity in the region. Here is an overview of his progress from May 29, 2023, to October 1, 2024:

1.Fighting Banditry Head-On: Under Governor Aliyu’s leadership, over 437 notorious bandits have been neutralized by security forces, marking a significant step in restoring peace to Sokoto State.

2.Clearing Inherited Debts: He inherited a security allowance debt of N974 million from the previous administration. Within months, he did not only cleared the debt but also increased the security forces’ monthly allowances by 200%, motivating them to continue their fight against banditry.

3.Advanced Security Equipment: Governor Aliyu is the only state governor in Nigeria to procure Buffalo Hilux vehicles for security agencies, matching the advanced logistical support provided by the federal government under President Tinubu.

4.Strategic Security Meetings: He initiated a weekly meeting with security heads every Sunday to assess the state’s security situation and devise immediate action plans.

5.Logistical Support: In his first 100 days, Governor Aliyu donated 70 patrol Hilux vehicles and 320 motorcycles to the Joint Task Force (JTF) operating in Sokoto East, boosting mobility and operational efficiency.

6.Real-Time Security Monitoring: He established a security operations center within his office to monitor real-time security operations in the forests, providing direct oversight and encouragement to the forces.

7.Collaboration with Vigilantes: Governor Aliyu offered the highest salary scales for security personnel and strengthened ties with vigilante groups and hunters, further bolstering efforts against bandits.

8.Local Security Infrastructure: The governor constructed security offices in all 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) to support the Community Guard Corps and other agencies, improving coordination at the grassroots level.

9.Hostage Rescues: His administration successfully rescued 7,658 captives from bandit hideouts without paying any ransom, reuniting them with their families.

10.Preventing Attacks: Using intelligence gathered through security networks, 79 bandit attacks were neutralized across various communities, showcasing the effectiveness of proactive defense.

11.Expanding Surveillance: The governor also donated 50 surveillance vehicles and 710 motorcycles to security forces and volunteers, enhancing their ability to detect and respond to threats.

12.Night Surveillance: For urban security, Governor Aliyu provided 20 new Hilux vans for late-night surveillance in Sokoto’s main city, improving safety after midnight.

13.Spiritual Interventions: Understanding the need for multifaceted solutions, Governor Aliyu enlisted the support of Muslim clerics to offer prayers for divine intervention in tackling the security challenges. His belief in prayer underscores his holistic approach to governance.

14.Partnerships with National Security Chiefs: Governor Aliyu held strategic, closed-door meetings with top military officials, including the Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief of Army Staff, to strengthen cooperation on security matters.

16.Rapid Response Committee: Governor Aliyu formed a rapid response committee to provide immediate shelter, food, water, clothing, and medication to victims of bandit attacks, ensuring that affected communities receive timely support.

GOD WILL NOT FORGIVE TAMBUWAL AND DASUKI FOR THIS ;

This is the shocking revelation from the Sokoto State Accountant General during Tambuwal’s administration, as he detailed to current Governor Ahmed Aliyu and the people of Sokoto how the former governor left a staggering debt of N14.8 billion in unpaid pension gratuities between 2015 and 2023.

The debt affects 4,911 pensioners, of which 926 have sadly passed away while waiting nearly 8 years for their entitlements. Out of the N14.8 billion, N2.9 billion was owed to the deceased pensioners, while N11.6 billion is for 3,183 living pensioners. An additional N148 million is owed to 197 pensioners still working on a contract basis.

Gov. Ahmed Aliyu, known for his compassion and commitment to his people, has pledged N500 million every month to pay off the backlog of gratuities for civil servants who retired between 2015 and 2023 under Tambuwal’s administration. Sadly, 926 of these retirees passed away while waiting for their payments, woefully failed by a leader who claimed to have their mandate and promised to take care of their welfare.

Heartbreakingly, those 926 pensioners who died without receiving their rightful payments are now resting in peace, as Governor Ahmed Aliyu has stepped in to pay their families what they were owed. It is a tragic scenario that leaves one wondering how former Governor Tambuwal will account for this in front of God, with 926 souls gone without their dues, 370 pensioners in a coma, 176 in ICU clinging to life, 96 driven mad with despair, and over 400 gathered at the Masjid every Friday praying for divine justice.

Thankfully, Governor Ahmed Aliyu has already taken significant steps to address this injustice. Out of the N14.8 billion debt, he has settled N6 billion—starting with N500 million in May, N2 billion in June and July, another N500 million in August, and N1 billion in September. His efforts bring hope to the suffering pensioners and their families, as they finally receive the payments they were long denied.

GOOD NEWS FOR NURSES AND MIDWIVES IN SOKOTO:

At the moment, I don’t think that there is any state in this country that has employed 845 nurses and midwives in one year for its primary health care centers.

In a groundbreaking move to improve healthcare delivery in Sokoto State, Governor Ahmad Aliyu’s administration has recruited 845 nurses and midwives to bridge the gap in medical personnel across primary healthcare centers. This recruitment marks a significant step towards addressing the healthcare challenges faced by the state, particularly in maternal and infant care.

The new healthcare workers will be deployed to underserved areas, ensuring that residents in both urban and rural communities have access to essential medical services.
