@JanetIsabella_@Rich_sutton_@reformparty_uk@grok Clearly, anyone with a brain cell would understand he didnt mean in the last year. So your augument using the last net migration figure is only correct if you are actually stupid.
@andy4makerfield What he has done in mancheste? He is the mayor of Greater Manchester, he should already being doing good stuff in Ashton already not just Manchester. He is just a tax man, just like the rest of labour.
@crompono1@OperaSocialist St Thomas More, coloqually known as Tommy More (formally). If you are local to the area you would know that, and would nit pick spelling.
@martynw69278154 @nblake22 @politixintheuk Typical, denial and belittment. True it is 5% of immigration but it is 100% of the type of immigration nobody wants. How about you volunteer 100% of your wages to sponser it, and let them move into your home. If you don't mind it that much?
The problem is there will always be extremists, but this illegal immigration issue is fuelling extremism and pushing more and more moderate people towards harder views.
If someone walked into your house without asking, ate your food, used your money, invited their family and friends in, and then acted like you owed them something, you would rightly think they were taking the piss. That is how a lot of people now see illegal immigration: people entering without permission, then claiming asylum and using a system that was meant for genuine refugees.
We cannot feed and house the world. And when the system is abused, it makes a mockery of genuine asylum seekers.
People also ask a fair question: if a ship goes down, it is women and children first into the lifeboats. So why are so many of the people crossing the Channel young men? That is why many people believe a large number are economic migrants, not genuine refugees.
The real problem in the UK is not simply racism. It is class, culture, and trust. The people in power want cheap labour, more GDP, more delivery drivers, cleaners, care workers, and more ways to fleece the public. Illegal immigration has become an industry in itself. Who is profiting from the hotels, contracts, legal aid, food, housing, and support? Serco? Contractors? People connected to MPs, Lords, and other elites?
Ordinary people see large sums being spent while they struggle to get housing, doctorsโ appointments, school places, and basic services. They see migrants housed in working-class areas, not on the streets of MPs or in wealthy villages. Then, when locals complain, they are called thick, racist, bigoted, or far-right.
That is what creates anger.
Peopleโs culture, identity, history, and tolerance are being stretched and abused. The burden is not shared fairly. The people making the decisions do not live with the consequences.
And yes, people will say, โseeking asylum is not illegal.โ But entering the country without permission is still illegal, and the current system encourages more of it. Try doing the same with any other country, the expect to get fed, clothed housed for free.
The whole situation feels nefarious, unjust, and deliberately engineered. It is creating division, silencing normal people, polorisng people and turning legitimate concerns into thought crimes. Where else do people with no where else to turn, turn to? If the goverment protected our borders and people, they would be just doing thier job. Parliment after parliament has neglected the people and have become an ellitest cabal serving their own poltical, ideologists and financial interest. That is why people dropping the social shackles and moving right, more than others. Not engaging in real discourse of this subject has always been the real danger. It is like the left have been brainwashed to not be able to discuss this subject. To shut it down, call names, to riddicule without debating with very little substance or honesty. They profess thier education, compassion and tolerance but demonstrate the complete opposite to people with concerns of a different class or ubringing. Ironically they what they are fighting against.
Exactly to form. Unable to discuss race or imagination like a grown up without cluching your pearls. In fact we have had the exact conversations with my family. Basically your scared to voice your own opinion, or stray from the lefts mantras and you shout down anyone who approaches the subject like a child. Grow up.
