The official snowfall observation at Trenton Mercer Regional Airport... Exactly 1 inch!
Does that mean @BillSpadea and @EricScottNJ1015 owe each other a bottle of bourbon? #OverUnderPush@nj1015
@StanBanned @hvysnow@WeatherProf@nj1015 Oh Stan. My first day back, and you're already taking yet another dig at me. Actually, I would have been supremely disappointed otherwise.
But what an honor to be put in the same category as my esteemed fellow @CornellWeather alum @WeatherProf!
The roadway is closed in both directions between exits 38 and 63 until further notice because of reduced visibility caused by heavy smoke from the Bass River State Forrest wildfire and dense fog.
7 INCHES OF RAIN drenched New Jersey over the last three days, putting a (temporary) end to drought and wildfire concerns.
I compiled some statistics, including a Top 5 Rainfall list for each NJ county.

FINALLY DRYING OUT... It's not raining! The sun is out! Hip hip hooray!
As nice as this morning is, we still have some raindrops and unseasonably cool temperatures to talk about this week.
But next weekend? 👍👍

RAIN RETURNS TODAY... One more soggy, stormy day. Still some uncertainty whether NJ gets "only" an inch of rain from this round, or more like 2-3". Downpours, gusts of wind, and rumbles of thunder are possible through this evening. Pretty nasty.
Nice day tomorrow!
STATEWIDE FLOOD WATCH... We needed rain, we got it. The ground is now saturated, after 3+ inches of rain fell over much of NJ. And with more heavy rain and thunderstorms on the way today, it raises alarm bells for flooding.
Coastal flooding a concern for back bays specifically.
IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING... Some spots along New Jersey's southern coast have picked up 3 or 4 inches of rain over the last 24 hours. Wow!
The wet weather will let up today and especially tonight. But rain returns with a vengeance tomorrow.
@Ms84E RAIN OR SHINE! 🙄
I feel especially bad for the police officers that have to stand in the pouring rain to close off the street and direct traffic for 12 hours.
A GOOD SOAKING... Over the next three days, more hours will be wet than dry. With some downpours, gusty winds, and rumbles of thunder along the way. Total rainfall 1-3".

LET'S TALK ABOUT RAIN... We're still tracking 3 storm systems set to bring wet weather to NJ:
1.) Wrapping up Thursday afternoon
2.) Friday late morning to Saturday evening
3.) Sunday morning to evening
Total rainfall 1-3 inches.

STORM SYSTEM #1 OF 3... Spotty showers and t-storms may dampen your Wednesday. Damp and dreary weather at times today. But nothing crazy.
Two rounds of steadier, heavier rain may affect outdoor plans this weekend. #WeNeedTheRain

@StanBanned Oh you love reminding everyone, even though I very clearly explained the reason by email two years ago.
You remember that email exchange, don't you? When you said you would leave me alone?
DRY AND PLEASANT TODAY... But we are still watching three chances of rain over the next week: 1.) Spotty showers late Wednesday. 2.) Steady rain Friday into Saturday. 3.) Heavy rain Sunday into Monday.
We really need the rain. 🤞

MONDAY WEATHER HEADLINES...
1.) Pleasant, comfy weather ahead, although NJ temps will be slightly below normal.
2.) We remain on the precipice of drought.
3.) Three rain chances coming up: Wednesday night, Friday, and Sunday.

BRIGHTER, DRIER, COOLER... We still have some lingering rain this morning, but sun should start to break out around lunchtime. There is a slight chance of a late-day shower clipping North Jersey.
Good sunshine and pleasant weather ahead for Monday and Tuesday.
