@fuer81352 It’s so disheartening to see what social media is doing to the younger generation and it’s negative effects on self-image. It’s so easy to become entranced in the world of social media and most people don’t recognize how it’s negatively affecting their lives #BeachSMC
I think it’s interesting to see censorship in relations to politics. There’s a fine line between censorship and disseminating misinformation. Both are dangerous, so it’s interesting to see what measures are taken to combat misinformation without complete censorship #BeachSMC
Look at this news article from The Daily Caller: Gov’t Censors Dismayed They Have To Get Approval From Lawyers Before Flagging Social Media Posts https://t.co/pSzHxJFgt8
It’s amazing to see the science behind why certain things get shared or go viral. This study would be useful when considering marketing and PR strategies. When we consider the science behind these things, it’s easier to predict what posts will do well and which won’t #BeachSMC
A new study from the Communication Neuroscience Lab (@falklab) at @AnnenbergPenn shows that brain signals can predict whether a news article will be widely shared on social media.

@Yasmineco TikTok got famous in the first place because of its short videos. Users are able to consume more media in less time. While i’m not entirely opposed to the idea of 15 minute videos, with platforms like YouTube already existing, I don’t see why it would be necessary. #BeachSMC
It is extremely important during times like now that as consumers, we check for validity. However, I find it ironic how a news company is releasing an article regarding spotting disinformation when they themselves have gotten caught spreading it. #BeachSMC
It is disgusting to see how censorship is now happening towards educators simply for criticizing the education system. How is change supposed to be evoked if the primary figures who witness the weaknesses of the education system, cannot even voice their concerns? #BeachSMC
NEWS
Dept Ed now KEEPING FILES on social media activity of teachers, assistants & librarians if they CRITICISE THE GOVT
This is disgraceful
For this & more, will @GillianKeegan be remembered for being the worst Education Secretary in modern history?

@Martinez1Jacibe I can only imagine how X is going to decline as a result of all the site changes. With so many other competitors, I can’t see how X would be able to continue garner users if they start charging users. I personally would never pay to use a social media site #BeachSMC
I’ve been seeing more and more images on the internet of AI- generated photos. It’s interesting to see how capable artificial intelligence is in creating images. It’s also terrifying as it is extremely difficult to know what photos are real and which are not #BeachSMC
An image of a formation of tree leaves creating the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is viral on social media as a photo taken by a French photographer on the Gokarna beach. It is actually AI-generated. #AltNewsFactCheck | @AbhishekSay

It is disgusting to see how others are willing to use tragedies to benefit themselves. Content that spreads misinformation should not be allowed to be monetized. Real people are dying and it’s being used as a ploy to make money #BeachSMC
As one of the largest invasions in 50 years unfolded in Israel, misinformation about the assault spread across social media.
Many of the misleading videos were shared by verified users on X, who are eligible for monetization of their content. https://t.co/SF5aTAt1gm
@mialnigro The one experience I did have on TikTok shop was a positive one, but I definitely see many advertisements on the platform that are very obvious scams. Seeing as though Tiktok has a very large young audience, I can only imagine how many of them are being scammed.
It is fascinating to see the role the law and constitution play with social media. Never did I think I would see a court order issued for an individual to unblock someone because it infringes on one’s constitutional rights. #BeachSMC
Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault must unblock Rebel News founder Ezra Levant on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, under the terms of a court order. https://t.co/tcdOlOhW3f
It is completely unfair that Canadians no longer have access to their own news. For a platform that is meant to support and encourage free speech, it is ridiculous how they are censoring an entire country. No one should have to cross borders to see their own news. #BeachSMC
Canadians have to cross borders in order to access their own news. 8 years ago this was unthinkable. This is ridiculous, but this is reality under Liberal Censorship law Bill C-18.

@agrestaP1 It has almost become a trend of people disrespecting the countries that they visit. There are videos online about tourists ignoring signs telling them not touch or climb steps, esentially ruining the pieces of history and whole ecosystems.
It’s saddening to see how bullying reaches kids even in their own homes. No one should be targeted in such a way. Kids who are growing up with social media should be made aware of the impact of their posts. It is now normalized to hide behind a computer screen #BeachSMC
It’s terrifying how people would rather believe strangers they see on the internet rather than actual licenses professionals with degrees. We saw the same exact thing happen with people eating Tide Pods and yet people are making the same exact mistake. #BeachSMC
Borax, a white, powdery substance, has long been a staple in many households as a cleaning agent.
Now, the substance is making the rounds on social media, with some people promoting it as a health booster — a trend that doctors say is dangerous. https://t.co/MYB3qL9bdV
