Right now, I'd vote OneBC because I align with them more closely.
But if Caroline Elliott wins the leadership and steers the Conservatives toward the same principled stances (no more moderate drift), why split the vote? I'd switch to them to maximize the chance of beating the NDP.
@GadSaad I look forward to reading it and hope it's highly successful!
Curious to know if you've talked to an accountant to set up a strategy to legally avoid having the Quebec and Canadian governments steal half your royalties?
@rupasubramanya Seems pretty obvious to me: either force an election that no one wants and maybe win a minority, or continue to let the Liberals accomplish nothing and watch your poll numbers go up for a spring election.
Based on poll numbers, looks like the latter could pay off for them.
@JasminLaine_ Look at the comments in the CTV post. Their followers hate the Conservatives, despite their platform being basic common sense.
I’m willing to bet that if it wasn’t for the biased mainstream media, more than 50% of Canadians would have voted Conservative.
@liberal_party Why would anyone vote for the party that:
- gave the murderer Omar Kadr $10M?
- wasted billions on a pipeline that wasn't economically feasable?
- paid $65M for a app that a highschool kid could have built over a weekend?
- and many other boondoggles.
@profbenperrin@cvangeyn@nationalpost The article you quote specifically states that “…Canada’s Conservative Party has been talking about the need to ensure free speech on campus and requiring universities to have stronger policies in order to qualify for research funding.”
@profbenperrin@cvangeyn@nationalpost DEI is the bigger threat to free speech on campuses. It’s an postmodernist ideology that fuels censorship, like requiring diversity statements that lead to self-censorship. Universities should prioritize academic freedom.
The conservatives are right to crack down on this.
@PierrePoilievre Stop focussing entirely on Carney and focus on the liberals in general. Maybe point out the fact that these are the same clowns that got Canada into this mess and if Carney remains Prime Minister, he has no choice but to pick Trudeau’s moronic cabinet to be his cabinet as well.
We can’t control President Trump, but we can control what we do – and what we build - here at home.
We will build an All-In-Canada auto manufacturing network to create more higher-paying jobs for Canadian workers and secure our economy.
@RobynUrback Normally, I would agree, but not in this case. Countries throughout the world are backing away from gender affirming care, because the science doesn’t support it.
And we need to know if our Prime Minister is willing to have an honest conversation about it.
