So, Joey Barton says Africa hasn't had a defender better than Carragher. Very funny, LOL! Let me just name four, off cuff. If you have watched the beautiful game for a while, no way you would rate Own Goal Jamie over Sammy Kuffour, Lucas Radebe, Noureddine Naybet or Hany Ramzy!
Bank of Uganda has said in its monetary policy report of October 2024, which it released on Monday that in the three months to September 2024, the shilling appreciated by 1.9 percent, which indicates that Uganda's domestic financial market has continued to remain stable. The appreciation also saves the general public from high commodity prices as a result of high exchange rate due to deprivation of the National Currency.
It was a pleasure hosting the IMF Uganda Resident Representative – Clara Mira here at the URA Tower.
We explored strategic avenues we can pursue to enhance Uganda’s revenue collection efforts hinged on key areas such as transfer pricing, capacity building in international taxation, leveraging data for smarter tax administration decision-making, and scaling up tax education.
Partnerships such as this one are crucial as we strategically position URA for greater efficiency

I acknowledge the multiple complaints regarding data usage—specifically issues where data seems to vanish or deplete faster than anticipated.
Indeed, consumer protection is one of @UCC_Official's regulatory mandates, and these issues require resolution. However, because of the sensitivities involved, a formal process must be followed to address these disparities conclusively.
1. File a Formal Complaint: If you encounter discrepancies with your data usage, the first step is to contact your telecom provider directly and file a formal complaint. This is crucial because telecom networks are equipped with the ability to conduct detailed investigations into data usage.
2. Request an Audit: As part of your complaint, you can request a comprehensive data usage audit for the period. This audit provides a clear record of your data consumption, helping to identify any inconsistencies or errors.
As a consumer, it is essential to know that you must initiate the data usage audit regarding your mobile number. Doing so gives permission for your data usage to be examined while safeguarding your data privacy.
This step ensures that your data usage is scrutinised only with your consent and does not infringe upon your right to privacy in how you choose to use your data.
Should u find the outcome unsatisfactory, reach out to the @ConsumerUCC on the toll-free line 0800222777, or @UCC_Official 's https://t.co/Oof4H2UpMk

As we commemorated World AIDS Day at Kibaale in Rakai district, I stressed the importance of implementing free education in government schools to fight HIV/AIDS among adolescents aged 15+. Despite opposition from some government head teachers, we must eliminate fees that keep children out of school. Let's empower them and make education an Anti-AIDS measure.
Secondly, prevention is paramount in our battle against HIV/AIDS. Parents should counsel the children while they are young even though the treatment is available, if you get infected, the virus limits your health. Prevention is the number one solution in our fight against HIV/AIDS
For the people who are already living with the virus, it is important that they live a positive life and take medication as prescribed by health practitioners.
I thank people like Dr. Watiti and others because they have shown us that it is possible to live longer despite living with the virus.
