@Exodus15_11 @Christocentrism they don't. Pastors should go to Bible school and train under Pastors. Chuck Smith used to say healthy sheep beget healthy sheep.
In most cases, seminaries beget seminarians. There's a few exceptions but 90% of the church doesn't know or believe the core doctrines of the Bible.

A pastor should take his congregation through the Bible. Study verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book, cover to cover, over and over again.
