😍Have to brag on my 3D printer's club students! They created memory towers for Art's night and they turned out so good! They had to come up with 6 memories from their time at Fairview and then create a piece for each one and we glued them together! @tinkercad#CPSLTT@IamCPS
I know these straw marble mazes will be an instant #STEM-based conversation starter at home! Students will share the following words:
upcyle
perimeter
start/finish
tunnels
dead ends
holes
lines: parallel, perpendicular, intersecting, diagonal, horizontal
🦖🐈⬛😊🐶… and more!
A personal favorite project of mine, taking teachers #bitmojis converting them to svg files and then printing them out with @tinkercad. They make great board game pieces.
Anyone need an end of term enrichment activity? The OXO challenge. Takes Y7 or Y8 about an hour. My example given at the end to show what’s possible. Usually give some instruction at the start as to strategies and useful structures.
Hey teachers…if you’re doing assistive devices with your students, especially with #3dprinting, be sure to check out https://t.co/0dpv5j4rUa resources and videos
Students are designing Challenge Coins in @tinkercad for our upcoming High Altitude Balloon Launch. We printed a few today. They also documented their work in @BookCreatorApp
I’m a bit OBSESSED with these Ss exploring sound energy. A tuning fork, a simple tub and some water they experiment with sound waves and the way angles & materials affect them. Ss are working in groups to add diff forms of energy to our moon colony. #science#STEM@SchuemannTCS
DO YOU SEE THE POOR? Dr. Martin Luther King states the problem is not a person being rich, the problem arises when one who is rich does not seeing the poor and their needs. #Nonviolence365#MLk
“Oh, NO!”
The force of the #Hexbugs was greater than most teams imagined, planned, sketched, & co-built their @KEVAplanks structures to withstand! However…
This experience led students to naturally make 🔁 structural improvements & to write insightful reflections. Win-win! 🎉
