एक कांवड़िया पुलिसकर्मी पर उसकी कांवड़ खंडित करने का आरोप लगाते हुए उसे सड़क पर दौड़ाता दिखाई दे रहा है। वर्दी में मौजूद पुलिसकर्मी भीड़ से बचता नज़र आता है।

सोचिए, अगर यही आरोप किसी दूसरे समुदाय के व्यक्ति पर लगा होता, तो क्या तस्वीर यही होती? क्या तब भी पुलिस ऐसे ही पीछे हटती दिखती, या फिर तत्काल गिरफ्तारी, कड़ी कार्रवाई और बुलडोज़र की चर्चा शुरू हो जाती?

कानून सबके लिए एक होना चाहिए। वर्दी हो या आम नागरिक—गलती करने वाला कोई भी हो, जवाबदेही तय होनी चाहिए।
