Sowore was on Másòyìnbó. Oríyọmí Hamzat was on Másòyìnbó. So has many other people. The platform is for the upliftment of Yorùbá language and culture. It is for EVERYONE. If you're capable, go and put your chest.
Yorùbá Proverb: Àìlèjà lojúde babaà mi ò débí.
Meaning: It is he who cannot fight that complains of the arena not being his father's compound.
If you're a bread, look for beans. If you can't find, look for mọ́ínmọ́ín. If you still can't find, look for àkàrà. If that is not available, look for peanut butter. Still can't find, look for butter. If that one too is unavailable, manage margarine.
Bottom line, you need people to compliment you but your worth is not tied to one single person who doesn't want to be with you.
The only thing that truly scares me in this life is poverty.
Money can solve many problems. And when it cannot solve the problem, it can give you options, buy you time, and make the pain easier to bear.
Being broke takes even those choices away.
If a player coming in on loan knows you already have a permanent player in his position, you can’t avoid paying certain extra fees or incentives. Otherwise, he might not be motivated to perform well for your club. 🙏
I got a call from someone in 2024 or so.
He said he was referred to me by Mrs Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode.
I was like, same Mrs Oyebode, Murtala's daughter?
He said yes, his long time friend.
We had never interacted before. I never knew she knew me. I'm not aware she is active on social media (where I could have guessed she would know me from). How she got my number to give the person still unknown to me. How she referred someone to me still remains a mystery.
I met the person in London few months later.
But till today, I have not met her and I don't know how I came to her mind when she wanted to recommend someone to the person.
