@SMSObsessed Very old school teaching I think! However, you don’t want them overweight/quickly gaining weight on certain feeds or supplements bc of inflammation. We bought back my old show gelding for small fry w my niece and he’s semi chunky w navicular
@SMSObsessed We put drains in the stalls so all we had to do was pull mats up and pressure wash! Makes life 1000x easier/keeps the barn smelling so fresh too. For stalls we did ones with openings for feed/water which make it easier for my nonhorsey mom to help out
@BRAjumper Not the biggest difference but he gained so much strength and gloss while becoming a little chubby. A year and a half in between these I think.
@equislytherin @chatterbawx2000 approved to write me a check for the rest of it. I’ve called multiple times, emailed, + sent certified letters with no luck. And now the store front in Franklin is closed 🙃
@equislytherin @chatterbawx2000 Here to say this is real and I never received payment for my Amerigo saddle that sold besides ~$400 of in store credit. Only bc I happened to stop by the day after it sold and went to purchase a bridle + few other things when the lady at the counter told me and said she wasn’t
@iratebamboo Because some English people are afraid to encourage socialization imo. More western horses grow up/work everyday next to other studs, mares, geldings. If you look at successful showing English studs they’re usually treated more in this fashion too
@notquitecowgirl Be careful if your horse likes to rub their head on wraps/boots! At the AQHA World show my horse got his polo stuck on the end after rubbing his head, and thankfully he didn’t react while I quickly climbed off and undone it 😅haven’t rode in one since even though they’re handy af
