@A_CAA is pleased to be collaborating with Amy Robinson, Migrant Health Lead at the North West Regional Strategic Migration Partnership (RSMP) to raise awareness of two regional support offers delivered by Lingua GM and @NorthwestYaran to support Persian (Farsi)-Speaking communities in the North West.
These services have been rapidly established in response to current events in Iran and the wider region, providing confidential support to individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or distressed.
Both services are delivered via telephone in Farsi (Persian) by native speakers. While open to all members of Persian(Farsi)-speaking communities, the service is particularly targeted at the Iranian asylum seeker population across the North West.
We recognise that these services may not meet the language needs of everyone affected by current events, but they represent an important pilot in understanding the types of support required during times of crisis and escalation, and how culturally and linguistically appropriate responses can be delivered effectively.
With thanks to partners including @SalfordCVS, Asylum, Refugee and Migration Service (ARMS) at @ManCityCouncil and Human Lens Media CIC for their support.
@A_CAA is delighted to be collaborating with @BrentMusArch to support and raise awareness of "Portraits of Brent: SWANA Community Exhibition". This inspiring exhibition celebrates the stories, identities, heritage and lived experiences of Brent’s Southwest Asian and North African communities.
The exhibition runs from 2 March to 26 April 2026. It is free to attend and suitable for all ages.
@A_CAA is also pleased to host a stall at the exhibition, showcasing Afghanistan, Central Asian, Persian, and Iranian heritage. We warmly invite you to visit us during the week commencing 13 April.
We extend our sincere thanks to Emir Ghariani, Heritage Assistant at Willesden Green Library (Willesden Gallery), and the Heritage Team at @Brent_Council for making this collaboration possible.

Last Saturday, 21 March 2026, it was a pleasure to speak at the Central Asian Spring Festival (CASF) 2026 on behalf of @A_CAA in London.
The Central Asian Spring Festival, Europe's Largest Nowruz celebration, is organised by the UCL Kazakh Society and UCL Uzbek Society every year, and it was fantastic to see such a vibrant showcase of culture and community from over 20 countries that celebrate Nowruz.
This year marked the 17th anniversary of the festival, welcoming an impressive crowd of 3,000 people throughout the day, all with FREE entry, making it accessible to everyone. @A_CAA was also pleased to host a stall at the event, to represent Afghanistan & Tajikistan.

@A_CAA is pleased to be collaborating with the Patient Experience Team at @UHNM_NHS to raise awareness of the Patient and Public Engagement Council and their call for new members among Persian (Farsi)-speaking communities across the North Midlands and Staffordshire. @UHNM_NHS is currently recruiting new volunteer members and is keen to hear from local communities that are often harder to reach and underrepresented, including people from Afghanistan and other Asian backgrounds.
We welcome this collaboration and hope that local Persian (Farsi)-speaking residents will express interest in joining the Patient and Public Engagement Council to represent their communities at @UHNM_NHS, so that the @NHSuk & @NHSEngland can better reflect the needs and experiences of everyone who uses, or may use, its services.
Through this initiative, The Patient and Public Engagement Council aims to engage and involve Persian (Farsi)-speaking patients, carers, and members of the public in shaping local healthcare services, ensuring their voices are heard and that their experiences and perspectives contribute to the development and improvement of hospital services (Royal Stoke Hospital and Stafford County Hospital). Council Meetings take place every month, with flexible and accessible alternative meetings if needed.
We would like to extend our thanks to Madeleine Roche, Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Co-ordinator at @UHNM_NHS, for her prompt work and support in designing and translating the poster into Persian (Farsi) Language.

Happy Nowruz
Dear Iranian friends,
This Nowruz marks not only a new year, but the enduring continuity of a great civilization. Across Iran and the diaspora, families gather to honor traditions and welcome spring with hope and dignity.
Nowruz belongs to the people of Iran. It has endured every hardship because it lives in the heart of a nation that has refused to be broken. It is part of their national inheritance, preserved through every hardship and carried forward with grace, resilience, and pride.
May this new year bring hope, strength, and confidence in a better future. Nowruz Pirouz.
